Wonderful World Book Day in Year 4!

This week in Year 4 has been full of curiosity, creativity, and wonderful learning. In English, the children explored the life of Mary Anning, developing richer vocabulary and using it confidently as they wrote their own thoughtful biographies about her remarkable achievements. In maths, we strengthened our understanding of lines of symmetry and applied this knowledge with growing confidence.

Our geography lessons took us across to Asia, discovering its fascinating landscapes, traditions, landmarks, and incredible animals. In RE, Lent has encouraged us to reflect with grateful hearts on all that our Saviour experienced for us. PE and music brought their usual energy and joy, and Thursday was a highlight as we celebrated World Book Day by reading with the Year 1 children—cosy in our pyjamas or dressed as favourite storybook characters.

All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT)

Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster's Academy Strategy, we provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. Our vision of an 'Outstanding Education for All' comes from this desire to enable all members of school communities to flourish and succeed and to do all that we can to make our schools places where ambition for all is at the heart of everything that we do.
