This Week in Year 4

In RE this week, the children have been learning about the conversion of Saint Paul.  They studied paintings by famous artists and created their own artwork depicting this important event.  The children learnt about how people can change and let God into their hearts.

Hazel Class celebrated a thoughtful Child led Celebration of the Word and the 'Prayer Leaders' chose a theme of 'Forgiveness'. They selected the Gospel reading of Zacchaeus and the song 'This is the Gospel'.

Children from both classes delivered their 'Proud Presentations'.  The children are showing real confidence in speaking to their classes and have chosen some really interesting topics.

We have had lots of fun in Science this week finding out all about our teeth.  The children wanted to find out how different liquids can affect our teeth and set up an investigation to find out.  They used hard boiled eggs to represent teeth and placed them in containers with different liquids.  The children made predictions about what they thought would happen and are observing what happens each day.
