Year 6 arrived safely on the Isle of Wight yesterday after an easy coach journey and smooth ferry crossing. The children’s first activities were archery and orienteering. In the evening, they made the most of the sunny weather with some games on the beach. Despite the high levels of excitement, everyone managed to get some sleep last night, and they were raring to go for their climbing and den-building activities today. These activities were great fun and really required children to demonstrate our School values of friendship, determination and unity! So far, we have received good reports of the delicious meals, with sausages, mash, carrots and gravy yesterday followed by doughnuts for dessert, and hunter’s chicken for dinner today. Hopefully all of that tasty food has given the children plenty of energy for dancing at the disco this evening!
