Last week, in preparation for their own performance, Year 6 went to see the Lion King. The children went by coach up to the Lyceum Theatre where everyone was impressed by the show. In the interval, the children had ice cream and a bottle of water. In addition, they all received a special programme to remember the performance. Once the show had ended, two of the performers took the time to come and speak to us. The children asked a range of really thoughtful questions, including how they remembered their lines and how they managed to bring the animals to life on stage. It was a really special day and the children all behaved impeccably. We staff continue to be so incredibly proud of our Year 6 cohort.
As the children said,
“It was the most enjoyable school trip we have ever been on!”
“We thought the characters were so humorous with their words and actions!”
