Science: The Bayfordbury Observatory
Year 5 had an exciting Wednesday when we visited the Bayfordbury Observatory. Whilst there, the children were fortunate to take part in 3 different activities. One included a ‘lecture’ in a university science lab where the children had different terminology explained to them and were able to ask any questions they had. Another activity was seeing telescopes and learning about what they could and how they worked. The last activity was visiting the planetarium where the children learned the names of some constellations and other space-related facts.
Despite the delay returning to school, the children kept in good spirits and all adults on the trip were impressed by the excellent behaviour displayed by the children; we’re all very proud of them!
Thanks again to all the patient parent helpers!
