This week in PE, we started our new unit on striking and fielding, with a focus on catching a cricket ball. We learned different catching techniques depending on the ball’s height and direction—whether it’s coming in low or high. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be building on these skills and techniques as we work towards playing our own games of Kwik Cricket. It’s been a great start to the unit after the Easter break!
Today the children have been introduced a new project. We have been challenged to raise as much money as possible for Bright English Medium School, in Tanzania. Previous teachers from SSAS are currently volunteering at this school and want to raise awareness and money for the needs of the children. Next week both classes will be taking part in an hour sponsored activity next Friday to help raise money for the school and we would like you to make a donation to go to this great cause.
