This week Year 3 had an exciting opportunity to visit a local synagogue. Following our RE unit on world religions, we learnt about some key Jewish beliefs as well as the distinctive features of a synagogue.
The children became familiar with some of the signs and symbols linked to Judaism, tasted some Challah bread, wrote their name in Hebrew and even tried on a tallit and a kippah. This trip was an excellent opportunity for the children to bring their learning to life as well as to develop respect and tolerance towards other religions. Thank you to all the parent helpers who made this trip possible!
