This week in Science we have been identifying rocks. We had a lovely lesson where we studied an array of rocks and identified their characteristics and features. We compared them in terms of colour, shape, texture and appearance. Among those we looked at were Turquoise, Tiger’s Eye, Green Aventurine, Pumice, Pyrite and Red Jasper. The children were fascinated by the colours and properties of the stones and some even wanted to keep some!
