This week Year 3 have been ‘making a noise’ about bullying as part of Anti-Bullying Week 2023.
We kicked the week off in style with Odd Socks Monday to highlight the fact that just like odd socks, we are all different and unique! We then joined a live BBC lesson to learn about how harmful and wrong bullying is, and what to do if you ever experience bullying.
Rowan class took the theme of odd socks to make ‘odd socks posters’ about bullying and how we are all unique and should respect each other for our differences. On our posters we wrote reasons why people bully, poems about anti-bullying and identified the different types of bullying which include social bullying, cyber bullying, verbal bullying and physical bullying.
Children in Chestnut class enjoyed writing anti-bullying raps. Here’s one of them, written by Robyn and Bea.
Bullying is not cool!
It’s not allowed in our school!
It’s bad,
It makes people sad.
Don’t’ tease
Others please.
Don’t spite,
Be polite.
Don’t let them spoil your day,
Just walk away.
Don’t mock, just rock!
Don’t harm, be a charm.
Sort it out, there’s no doubt
WE DON’T LIKE BULLYING!
