On Monday, Year 2 had an absolutely fantastic day out at the Royal Mews and State Rooms! Despite the traffic trying its best to put a dampener on our plans, we arrived ready for an adventure. The children were thrilled to learn about the various stunning carriages that have been used by the royal family throughout history. A highlight for many was meeting a beautiful horse that pulled King Charles’ coronation carriage – what an incredible experience!
The State Rooms were nothing short of magnificent, and the students were amazed as they got up close and personal with the thrones of past kings and queens, including the Queen Victoria’s. It was such a wonderful way to immerse ourselves in our current topic of London.
A massive thank you goes out to our parent volunteers and, of course, to Mrs Duffey, who organised the entire outing. We couldn’t have done it without your support! We will be using all the brilliant information we gathered to create our own information leaflets soon, so stay tuned for that. Overall, it was a truly memorable day filled with learning and fun!
