On Monday the children were lucky enough to visit a local cafe called Room for Dessert. After reading about how Paddington bear loved going to a cafe with Mr and Mrs Brown we thought we would do the same. We got to try some tasty treats such a chocolate chip cookies and chocolate brownies. The children were very thankful and reviewed their desserts 100/100 and one child even said “it was the best brownie in the whole world”. The children then used this experience to write a letter. They described the crumbly chocolatey cookies and the squishy gooey brownies they ate. Thank you to Abir in Room for Dessert for a lovely trip and inspiring some fantastic writing in our class.
In computing this week the children learned about the different parts of a computer. They then used sketchpad to label these parts. Everyone is also working hard to login in using their email and password and all the practice at home has certainly helped.
In our science lesson we were learning all about the importance of exercise and how it makes us feel. We listened to our bodies before and after exercise and then we gathered data on different activities our class do to exercise.
Finally on Friday Mr Hodgson arrived in his black cab. They children were excited to see the black cab as it is just like the one they have seen in our English book ‘Paddington’. Everyone was excited exploring inside the taxi and role playing what it would be like to be a taxi driver and the passengers. Luckily nobody got their sticky hands all over the interiors like Paddington did. Mr Hodgson also told us some very exciting news about his taxi. IT IS GOING TO FEATURE IN PADDINGTON 3!!! We will be eagerly looking out for Mr Hodgson’s taxi when the movie is released later next year.
