This week the children had a wonderful week celebrating science week. We thoroughly enjoyed our science assembly by ‘Duggie dug dug’. They showed us amazing experiments to investigate energy, gases, and the power of air using dry ice and other chemicals. We also enjoyed lots of singing and dancing. On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Gordan who taught us all about her work as an engineer and all the amazing things that engineers can create. We learned about bracing a frame to provide stability and we designed and created our own towers with marshmallows and spaghetti which was lots of fun. On Thursday Mr Pratt and Mrs Richardson taught us about formula one race cars. It was so interesting to learn about all the different parts of a race car. We even got to hold them and test them out in real life. Thank you very much for coming to visit us during science week!
On Thursday we visited the nursery children to show read them the story of the adapted and modern version of Rapunzel. The children created story mountains which helped them to orally retell the story to the children. It was a lovely experience and we hope to visit them again soon.
Finally we were busy painting with watercolours this week creating flowers for Mother’s Day cards. We hope everyone has a lovely day on Sunday celebrating Mother’s Day. Thank you for everything you do!
