It was so lovely to welcome the children back after their very exciting Christmas holiday! They all had so many stories to share and loved seeing their friends and teachers again. To begin our two day week, we all wrote a recount of what we got up to over the Christmas holidays. We have learnt to use a green pencil for the start of a sentence, red pencil for the punctuation at the end of a sentence, and on Friday we learnt how to edit using the purple pencil.
This half term, our topic is Poles Apart. This week, we learnt what the 7 continents are and where they are placed on the world map. We did a great job! During CIL, we have been cutting and sticking penguins, as well as painting our own polar bears.
Also this week, we have been learning about primary colours. We have created our own primary colour wheel. Next week we will experiment with mixing colours in order to create secondary colours.
