This week has been extremely busy!
We are still working so hard at all our core subjects; we have been writing letters to Father Christmas, persuading him that we have been good! We have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We have been learning about significant Astronauts that have made history. In RE we have been studying the Gospel according to St. Luke and learning about the very important visitors that Mary and Joseph and their baby Jesus received during the Nativity. We have been reflecting on our ‘big question’ for this unit, “Is waiting always difficult?”. On Thursday we had a special visitor to our school from the Westminster Diocese. He was very impressed with the respectful way that the children led and shared in prayer and worship during assemblies and during their RE lessons. Well done to all the Year 1 children for sharing their knowledge and understanding of RE.
The children have also been working so hard to perfect there singing and actions for the KS1 school Nativity!
We are so excited for you all to see ‘The Inn Crowd’ nativity on Tuesday. Please remember to bring in your costumes on Monday morning, if you have not done so already.

Wishing all our families a very happy weekend
