Year 1 had so much fun today!
Firstly, the children had so much fun dressing up in numbers, shapes and digits. We had some incredible costumes coming through the classroom doors!!!
Our Maths learning was all based around Jelly Beans – we predicted the number of Jelly Beans in a packet, we counted them, we organised the counting on a Tens Frame to make it easier to count. We then decided which was our favourite colour/flavour of Jelly Bean and then represented our favourite colours using multi-link cubes. We thencreated a graph and analysed the data collected
.
We also learnt about what the NSPCC children’s charity do to help children less fortunate than ourselves and prayed that through the fun we had had today, other children may receive what they need to be happy and healthy.
