This week was Maths week and the focus was money! The children used the iPads during their computing lesson and learnt about how QR codes work. They scanned the QR codes to go to different games that involved sorting money and buying toys with money.
This week, we started our new focus story called ’10 Reasons To Love A Penguin’. This is our first non-fiction book of the year, so we learnt what features are needed to create a non-fiction book. We learnt about what a fact is, and came up with our own unique facts. We also practised the skill of writing lists.
In RE, we listened to the story of Jesus visiting the Temple. We thought about how Jesus is the light of the world.
In Art, we have been designing a keyring which we will be sewing and decorating next week. We thought about what materials we will need use to decorate and sew, such as wool, gems, glitter and glue.
In Science, we have been testing the properties of different materials. We used a range of objects to test the flexibility, transparency and whether they were waterproof.
