The Year 1 children thoroughly enjoyed the book by Martin Waddell, Farmer Duck, that we have been studying for two weeks.
They have created lots of work linked to the book, including writing a Book Review.
To bring our learning to a close, the children had to imagine that they were Farmer Duck and wrote Diary entries.
In Maths, we have been challenging the children to count in 10s, 2s and 5s.
As well as counting, they have even challenged themselves to writing out the Times Tables!
Do please support your child at home by counting in 10s, 2s and 5s, the more practise they have the easier it will be for them to learn their Times Tables in the future.
We have been very creative in our Religious Education lessons as we continue to learn about the gift of the Holy Spirit, for our Pentecost topic.
The children have acted out the story of the Disciples receiving the Holy Spirit and they created these beautiful doves to remind us all of this very special gift.
In Art, the children have created a block relief piece of art, which they will use to do some block printing next week.
We wish all our families a very happy and relaxing weekend.
