Well, our Party invitations to the Tiger (Who Came to Tea) certainly worked, to an extent.
The Tiger sent a letter to the classroom apologising to them explaining that he could not come back to visit the children because he had gone back to India to visit his friends, but he did send biscuits and juice for the children to celebrate together. We also had an extra playtime to bring our English learning on The Tiger That Came To Tea to a close. Here are some photographs of the Tea Party.
We have packed a lot of learning into this week. Science experiments, using our sense of touch; in our Computing lesson we used Sketchbook to recreate the story of the Three Little Pigs; in Maths we were using number-lines, as well as concrete manipulatives to find one more and one less a given number; in Geography we have been looking at a local map of the school and finding key land-marks and in R.E. we have been thinking about the ‘big question’, Why do we have a family?
We look forward to seeing you at the Autumn Fare tomorrow. Thank you to all your generous donations and make sure you bring lots of change with you to come and have some fun to raise money for the PTA at St. Albans & St. Stephens Catholic Primary School. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend with your families.
