This week, Year 1 have been very busy writing their own alternative fairytale. They have spent HOURS writing an amazing beginning, middle and end – as well as adding some fantastic illustrations. On Friday, we took a trip to Nursery to ‘Publish’ our stories by sharing them with the youngest children in our school. It was lovely to see the collaboration and sharing of unique ideas.
Also this week, we were made a visit by our environmental tutor. She told us all about the importance of bees and helped us learn about the process of pollination. We then created a seed bomb, which we were very excited to throw on our travels home, in order to help some new flowers grow.
Transition Day:
In other news, the atmosphere on Thursday was filled with excitement as we moved up to our new classes in Year 2. We spoke about our class trees and created some artwork based on these. We also responded to our new class teachers letter. Lastly, we made Happy Birthday cards, so we can share them with each other throughout the year.
