As part of our science topic on ‘Plants’, Year 3 have gone on a nature walk around the school grounds. We have used the tree identification sheet to identify different types of trees by the shape of their leaves. We were very impressed with a variety of trees we found in the school playground! They included birch, oak, beech, ash and even some apple trees!
We have also learnt about parts of a plant. We planted sunflowers seeds and learnt what plants need to grow healthy. We cannot wait to see the seedlings!
