Nursery World Celebrates World Book Day in Pyjamas!
This year’s World Book Day at Nursery was an absolute hit! The theme was all about bedtime stories, so our little ones arrived in their cosiest pyjamas, ready to dive into the wonderful world of books. There was a magical atmosphere as the children snuggled up in their comfiest clothes, creating the perfect setting for a day filled with stories, imagination, and fun.
A Day Full of Stories and Smiles
Throughout the day, our Nursery children were treated to a variety of exciting books. Our dedicated staff read an array of stories, taking the children on incredible adventures without ever leaving the room. The joy and excitement in the air were palpable as the children gathered around to listen intently to every word.
Special Guests: Parents and Year 6 Readers!
One of the highlights of the day was the incredible involvement of our Nursery families. Parents were invited in to read their child’s favourite stories, creating a warm and engaging environment. The children loved having their families share special moments with them, and it made the day even more memorable.
Adding to the excitement, Year 6 students from the school visited the nursery to read with our younger children. It was heart warming to see the older children taking time out of their day to support and interact with the nursery children, fostering a love for reading across the school community. The younger ones listened eagerly, captivated by the stories shared by their older peers.
Creating Our Own Stories
During the day the children were given the opportunity to become authors themselves! They created their very own books, choosing their own characters and adventures. It was amazing to see their creativity shine through as they illustrated and wrote their stories, and they were so proud to take their handmade creations home as a memento of the special day.
A Day to Remember
World Book Day in Nursery was truly a day to remember! It was filled with laughter, learning, and a deep sense of community. We are so grateful to all the parents, Year 6 students, and staff who helped make this event so magical. The love of books and stories is something we’ll continue to nurture as we inspire the next generation of readers.
