Year 5 have had a lovely end to the first half of Spring Term. This week was Wellbeing Week, and the children have completed differently activities linked to promoting wellbeing. On Monday, Mrs Smith led an assembly about the message, ‘My Voice Matters’, which aims to empower young people to speak about how they’re feeling (good or bad).
On Tuesday afternoon, Year 5 had their own ‘SSAS Express Yourself Show’ where children who elected to perform, were able to share a talent of theirs with their class. Mrs Flatt, who oversaw the performances, was very impressed by what was shared!
Ash Wednesday
On Wednesday, Father John came into school to lead a service for Ash Wednesday. The children sat with and received their ashes with appropriate reverence.
We would like to wish everyone a happy half term holiday! We will see everyone on Tuesday 27th February. 🌞
