It has been an exciting start to our Summer Term. The children have enthusiastically returned and have been eager to start our new topics.
We have begun reading Oranges in No Man’s Land by Elizabeth Laird, which tells the story of a child living in Lebanon during the civil war. The children have enjoyed learning about Beirut and the Green Line, in addition to writing as a refugee.
In Maths, we have compared decimals to three decimal places then related fractions and place value.
We are focusing on Geography this half term, Wild Waters, and have extended our understanding of the water cycle.
In Science, this week, we are describing the life process of reproduction in plants.
We have also read the story of Jesus meeting his disciples on the road to Emmaus.
What a fantastic start!
