Off to a flying start with our Class book “The Iron Man”. This week we took on the roles of the farmers to discuss how we would trap the Iron Man to prevent him from destroying our machinery. We appointed a ‘leader’ to run the meeting, a note taker to record our ideas, and then took a vote on our best idea and back up plan. Next week we will be constructing our own Iron Man and would like the children to bring in a tinfoil covered box/carton/container on Monday to support this.
We’ve been learning about Bar Graphs and Line Graphs in Maths. Each group was assigned a topic and had to question their classmates about their preferences. Afterwards, they worked in their group to decide on an appropriate scale, title, labelled axes and how to lay it out.
Have a restful weekend, Ms Noonan & Mrs Rees
