We were excited to see each other again on Tuesday morning and swap our news with each other. We dived straight into our summer curriculum with work in maths on multiplication and we worked hard to recall our times tables facts. Well done, children and keep up the hard work on pushing on with recalling your times tables now with more speed!
In English, we were astonished to find invitations on our seats to a very special concert. We listened carefully to a piece of piano music and had a guess as to who it could be…. Was it Elton John? Was it Justin Bieber? Was it Mozart? Imagine everyone’s surprise when we found out it wasn’t even a human playing the piano, but a bear! We are reading the wonderful book, “The Bear and the Piano” by David Litchfield. We have been retelling the story and we acted out how the bear was feeling at different points in the story. The pieces of writing that the children produced were amazing!
We have also been busy preparing for next week’s assembly. We have been learning our parts very carefully and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
Have a lovely weekend!
