Year 4 have settled back to school really well following the Easter holiday. This week we have been learning about Pentecost.
We read the story of Pentecost in the Bible and we looked at how different artists had represented the story in their work. We noticed that many of these included symbols, such as the dove, flames and wind. Some paintings were realistic and others were more abstract. We used the paintings to inspire our own Pentecost themed art.
We thought about how the disciples felt when they received the Holy Spirit. We wrote questions that we would like to ask them about their experience. Some children pretended to be the disciples and answered the questions very thoughtfully.
