This week we were very excited to open our new ice-cream parlour in nursery. The children have been busy working in the shop preparing and selling the ice-cream, taking orders, managing the till and ensuring the ice-cream parlour is clean and tidy for their customers. They customers love the new ice-cream parlour and they have lots of different flavours, sauces and sprinkles to choose from. The reviews from the customers have been great and the staff in the ice-cream parlour have been very busy.
We have also been reading the story of Elmer this week. Elmer teaches us how to be kind and thoughtful and to know that it is alright to be different and that we should celebrate our differences. After we read the lovely story we watched a short clip too of the story. We then found our very own Elmer and lots of other elephants which the children have loved playing with. We even created our very own Elmer. Each child made their own unique patch to add to our Elmer display. We are very proud of it!
