This week in Reception, the children have been very excited to be learning all about 2D shapes. There have been a range of activities in CIL that the children have enjoyed taking part in. The children have especially enjoyed taking part in a shape hunt, where they have had to use their investigation skills to find the sneaky 2D shapes that have hidden in very tricky places! For our topic ‘Marvellous Me’, the children have been listening to a range of stories all about being unique and celebrating differences. This week, we have been thinking hard about our 5 different senses and have also been thinking about our different body parts. First, we drew around the body of a willing participant, before working together as a class to label as many parts of the body as possible.
