Last Friday, we managed to get outside into the sunshine and act out the story of Pentecost. We began thinking about how the disciples felt scared and frightened but were then transformed into confident messengers of God, through the Gift of the Holy Spirit. Take a look at our photos below!
In Science, we continued to look at how flowering plants reproduce. We then looked at how some plants, such as strawberry plants, reproduce differently using only one parent. Some of us have amazing knowledge of how things grow. It was also lovely to hear about the different fruits and vegetable some children grow in their gardens and allotments.
We are continuing to read the class book, “Oranges in No man’s Land!” by Elizabeth Laird. This week we wrote an emotional monologue for the main character, Ayesha.
In Maths, we are learning to add and subtract decimals and solve problems involving decimals.
Finally, we all worked together to create a display for our Geography topic, “Wild Waters”.
