As part of maths week, we did lots of work saying big numbers in French in Years 4, 5 and 6. I wonder if the children can remember how to say 99 in French? Visit the Pupil Games area on the Language Angels website to play lots more number games. All login details can be found on Google Classroom.
Love is in the air! It is St Valentine’s Day, so if you fancy playing a Valentine’s Day game in French, Spanish or Italian, visit your Google Classroom for all the details.
Amusez-vous bien et bonne chance!
Monday 21st February is International Mother Language Day. At its heart, the United Nations General Assembly hopes it will help to “promote the preservation and protection of all languages used by all peoples of the world.”
Languages play a vital role in ensuring cultural diversity and preserving cultural heritage. We are so lucky to have so many children at school who have different mother tongues, who bring different cultural heritages to St Alban and St Stephen Catholic Primary School.
It would be fantastic to hear these languages being spoken in school. Please encourage your children to share some phrases in their mother tongue in our French lessons after half term – if they want to!
Merci!
