During the Advent season we have been sending home a travelling crib to spend one night only with every family in school. This has been a lovely way to help us prepare for Christmas. The travelling crib has been taken home every night throughout Advent by a different family who have played host to the Holy Family for the night, saying a prayer together. The next night, the travelling crib passed to another family. This journey symbolises Mary and Joseph’s difficult journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. Families have been invited to read prayers included in the pack or even write their own prayer to add to our Travelling Crib diary.
