What a busy start we have had to the Year already! We started learning all about London in our new Geography topic with the help of Paddington Bear. We read the story and wrote letters to Paddington from Aunt Lucy. He told her all about how he gets around London in a black taxi. Mr Hodgson brought his black taxi on to the playground for us to sit in. We were careful not to make a mess like Paddington!
In maths we have been busy ordering numbers to 20 and using language to describe numbers such as greater than, less than. We have also used the cuisinaire rods to help us to add three numbers together by finding the pairs to 10 first.
