Yesterday, Year 3 took part in a reflective Stations of the Cross pilgrimage around the school. At each station, they paused to listen to readings from the Chaplaincy team, pray, and consider the journey of Jesus on Good Friday. The pilgrimage deepened the children’s understanding of this important event in the Christian faith, and encouraged them to think about themes of perseverance, kindness, and sacrifice in their own lives.
Science
This week, the children explored how we see objects by investigating the role of light. They learned that light travels in straight lines, reflects off objects, and enters our eyes, allowing us to see the world around us. To put their learning into action, the children worked in teams to build dens and test how well they could block out light. This helped them to understand how darkness affects our vision and reinforced the importance of light in everyday life.
