This week the children week the children have continued their learning on our topic ‘Once Upon a Time’. The castle has opened its doors in Nursery and the children were very excited! They have been dressing up as royalty and enjoying the luxuries of a castle. The kings and queens have been hosting a number of banquets in the castle and they have a very interesting menu.
This week the children have also been reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have been re-telling the story using the puppet theatre and re-telling the story through play outside too! The children also made their own Three Bears Cottage for Show and Tell using lots of different shapes to create their own cottage.
As this week marks the beginning of Chinese New Year the children have been learning about China. We also read the story of the Great Race which they have really enjoyed! The children had great fun re-enacting the story and they used their voices very confidently to imitate the characters.
