After a very interesting assembly led by Mrs Gordon and Mr Markovits, Year 4 joined in the fun of Science (STEM) Week, with a wonderful activity organised by Mrs Gordon – mum of Matilda and Lazerian – on Monday morning. The children built helter-skelters using card, straws and playdough! The children had a great time making these and finally tested them out to see if a marble would roll all the way down their helter-skelters. On Wednesday the Science Dome arrived and we were treated to a marvellous show based on the dynamics of the earth! Later in the week we began building gadgets and torches using our knowledge of circuits and studied the life of the famous physicist Chien-Shiung Wu and her contribution to particle physics. Finally we had a lovely presentation on Friday morning by Mrs Gomes (Nathaniel’s mum) about computing!
