Year 3 celebrated the forthcoming coronation by making commemorative plates as well as crowns, sceptres and coronets. We also watched short video clips about the life of King Charles from when he was heir to the throne, as Prince of Wales, until now as King of the United Kingdom. The children found it really interesting to learn about the ancient rituals associated with the coronation and the procedure by which Charles and Camilla will be crowned King and Queen.
