This week, we have begun exploring a new story called ‘The Troll’. In the story, the pirates are terrible cooks and in the end they asked the troll to be their chef. The children loved the pirates awful recipes and were keen to come up with their own. We have been very impressed with the children’s writing.
In Maths, we have been continuing our learning about sharing. The children were interested in helping solve maths problems. They demonstrated their understanding of sharing objects between 2 or more groups and were able to explain if an amount was fair or not
Following on from our learning on the Good Samaritan, we spent time talking about how we can be a good friend and the importance of always being kind. The children demonstrated lovely acts of kindness, including making cards, drawings and helping their friends.
On Friday afternoon, we had so much fun doing a PE focused CIL, in preparation for sports day next week. The children practised their balancing, jumping, crawling, ball skills, climbing, throwing and upper body strength. Class RH are excited for their sports day on Tuesday and Class RM can’t wait for theirs on Thursday. Please remember to check the newsletter for what your children need for the day.
