This week in Year 3 we have been honouring those who sacrificed so much to keep us safe today. We read a book called, “Where the Poppies Now Grow” by Hilary Robinson and Martin Impey, and thought carefully about the price that many paid for peace. Then we turned our artistic talents to making a poppy wreath for our doors and tealight holders in clay, moulded in the shape of poppies.
Everyone in Year 3 has impressed the staff with their respect and reverence for such a serious subject. Well done, children.
