Explanation texts
This week we have been looking at the features of explanation texts and using an extended range of conjunctions. The children were set a challenge to get a marble into a cup without touching it. They were given a set of equipment that they had to use. They were very inventive with their ideas for meeting this challenge. They then wrote an explanation of how their set up worked.
Science
As a finale to our growing efforts this term we planted out our seedings into larger containers. We have successfully managed to grow from seeds: sunflowers, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peas and runner beans. Today the children have brought home the runner beans that they grew in school. If you get any beans we’d love to see photos.
