The children enjoyed their first full week back. Our topic this term is ‘Once Upon a Time’, we will be exploring a range of traditional tales as well as modern fairy tales. This week we have been reading ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The children have been retelling the story using the characters in the theatre. The audience seemed to really enjoy it too! The children also extended their learning during CIL time, drawing different pictures of the characters and creating their own beanstalk too.
This week we have also been learning about repeated patterns. The children have been creating repeated patterns with lots of different resources. They have been using cubes, bears, stick, stones, flowers, pinecones and whatever else they can find. We look forward to learning even more next week!
