Year 6 have been working hard at their writing this week in creating their own thrilling stories based on our class book, “Cogheart”. To put themselves right in the centre of the action, the children retold their stories to each other. Not only does this help them work through ideas and get feedback from each other, but also it really embeds their story. However, not content with merely retelling, the children in Lime class went a step further and acted their stories out. It was wonderful to see the energy in the classroom and to possibly get a glimpse at some of the stars to be for our summer production. Who knows?
The stories have been fantastic. We have enjoyed reading the stories with the children and giving them immediate feedback in the classroom. I managed to capture a few stories in action – enjoy!
