This week in history year 3 have been studying how to write non- chronological reports. We worked hard, using the chrome books to research information about Skara Brae or Stonehenge. We took our own notes and then wrote our report up in our English books. From there we put together some beautiful double page spreads in our Topic books – you can see some examples below!
In Science, we have been studying different types of soil – chalk, loam, clay and sandy soil. We did an investigation looking into how much air and water was in the different types of soil. We discovered that sandy soil is much more permeable than clay, which we could see by the condensation on the inside of a box covered in plastic.
It has been a busy half term but everyone has made a great start in Year 3. Have a restful half term and we will see you soon!
