On Wednesday, we celebrated National Poetry Day in class with Year 4 and Year 6 by reading a French poem, Les Jours et Les Couleurs.
We used our new class dictionaries to find the meaning of key words, and hunted out sound patterns to find the rhymes.
Each class has been set the challenge of writing a class poem! If you want to be part of your class poem, remember to bring your line to next lesson. It can be about anything at all, so long as it is written in French. Illustrations welcome, too. Merci!
Thank you to everyone who wrote a message in a different language for our school Language Board. As you can see from the photos, it is aglow with messages in so many different languages, from Polish and Dutch, to Irish, Igbo and Cantonese, to mention but a few! Take a look, and have a go at the quiz next time you are in the dinner hall.
Bon week-end!
