This week Year 3 celebrated National Poetry Day by taking part in an exciting online poetry workshop led by an acclaimed children’s poet Simon Mole.
The children watched Simon recite one of his poems about a herd of Diplodocus from A First Book of Dinosaurs. He then used the poem as a start point to spark some discussion about our own herds – what they mean to us, and what it feels like to be part of them.
The children had a great time writing poems about their own ‘herds’!
