There has been a lot of fun lesson in music this week all across the school. The children have been learning some new songs for the mass next as well as some Harvest songs and they sound amazing! Year 1 have been listening to Rimsky Korsokov’s Flight of the Bumblebee and are amazed at how quickly the notes are played! They have responded to the piece by creating some lovely art.
Year 6 have been inspired by STOMP and have been creating some rhythms on chairs and basketballs!
Year 5 are combining their music with some IT skills and are going to be composing their own soundtrack to a video – they are working together in groups to plan what instruments they’re going to need and how they can structure their music using different elements to tell a story eg. Tempo, dynamics, texture and pitch.
