What a busy week of term we have had in Year 2. The children have been busy in Design and Technology designing and making a healthy wrap. This involved using their knowledge of a balanced diet and different cutting techniques to chop up their ingredients. Everyone made very tasty healthy wraps.
On Thursday the children were very excited to meet their new teachers Mr Taylor and Mrs Barras. They had a wonderful time and it was very exciting to now become part of the juniors. They are looking forward to the big playground, the astro turf and a new building.
Today we celebrated our leaver’s assembly. The children had been busy preparing over the last two weeks and they all spoke so confidently and sang beautifully. They thoroughly enjoyed their celebration afterwards with their parents and carers on the uppersite and we are glad you have learned some interesting facts about Frederick Sanders. We hope you enjoyed their video reminiscing of their time in Year 2.
Finally we have had some excellent achievements over the last few weeks in our class. Henry, Finlay and George H have written about their amazing sporting achievements with St Albans City FC. Congratulations boys! Shauna Sheehan also participated in a GAA tournament with many GAA clubs from around the country. Well done Shauna.
