This week in Maths we have been busy measuring mass, capacity and length, height and width. The children have been measuring different items in grams and comparing them to each other. The children measured the length of different items in our classrooms using rules and metre sticks. We also got to measure each other and take note of our height. Later in the week we looked at capacity and compared the measurements of different liquids. The children really enjoyed our practical lessons this week. It would be lovely to see the children helping to measure at home too.
This week Cherry and Willow have been experimenting with colours.
They used their primary colours red, blue and yellow to mark make. They then mixed the primary colours to make the secondary colours orange, green and purple.
They experimented making marks using lots of different tools. They had dabbers made out of cloth and sponges. They also used, brushed, twigs and cardboard.
