In Reception class, we’ve been having a fantastic time exploring autumn through art! We painted beautiful autumn pictures, using lots of warm colours like red, orange, and yellow. We looked outside at the leaves changing and tried to paint what we saw—there were so many lovely colours everywhere!
In Maths, we’ve been learning all about the language of size, like “longer,” “shorter,” and “taller.” We had so much fun measuring each other to see who was the tallest and who was the shortest! We even used our measuring skills to build really long trains with the Mobilo construction toys. Some of our trains went all the way across the room!
In our story time, we read the story of David and Goliath. The children were fascinated by the brave story of little David facing the giant Goliath. After the story, we got creative and made our own David and Goliath models using junk modelling materials. It was amazing to see how everyone worked together to make different creations to remember the story. We had lots of fun working together.
It’s been a busy and exciting time in Reception, full of creativity, learning, and new adventures! We can’t wait to see what we’ll explore next week.
