Year 3 children had great fun on Thursday afternoon making shadow puppets as part of their science topic on ‘Light and Shadows’. We carried out an investigation into which material created the best shadow puppet. We tested three different materials: clear plastic (which is transparent); white paper (which is translucent) and cardboard (which is opaque) to see which one was best. A white piece of cotton was also used as a screen and we staged a puppet show with our newly created puppets.
