Fibonacci sequence.
On Number Day, we looked at the Fibonacci sequence. This is a series of numbers which works by adding one number to the one that precedes it. The beginning of the sequence is as follows:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144…
The sequence is often shown as a spiral in geometrical form. We used the number sequence to draw circles with a radius to match each number of the sequence.
Percentages
This is one method we have used to calculate percentages.
We took a fraction and worked out how we could make the denominator 100 by either multiplying or dividing. Then we made sure that whatever we had done to the bottom we needed to do to the top.
